VII has announced that two of its member received top awards in two of the 9 categories in the 2012 World Press Photo Contest. Stephanie Sinclair, received a First Prize for Conterporary Issues stories and Donald Weber a First Price for Portaits.
Sinclair’s story deals with the practice in many countries of adult males marrying young girls – many not even teenagers. See her prize winning portfolio

Weber’s portraits taken in an Interrogation Room in the Ukraine show working girls, thugs, dissidents and hustlers, all of whom are orphans and caught up in the legal system. See his prize winning portfolio
