Dreamstime has partnered with Panama-based Other Images, a stock distributor that covers Central and South America and the Caribbean. Other Images has created a new branded Web site, which is dedicated exclusively to Dreamstime content and is searchable in Spanish, the second most spoken language in the world, and Portugese.
This partnership gives Dreamstime access to Other Images’ client base in Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Belize, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic.
“Partnering with Other Images is just a minute part of our aggressive marketing strategy to open the door to international markets and lessen the language barriers to reach out to photo-shoppers we otherwise could not attract,” said Serban Enache, Dreamstime co-creator and chief executive officer. He added that the deal with Other Images follows a successful Korean launch.
“After studying other suppliers of the same material, we found that Dreamstime had the most comprehensively structured site, the fastest growing collections and the most professional portfolios,” said Colombian photographer and Other Images’ founder Carlos Angel. As a result of the agreement, Other Images has become the first Latin American microstock provider.
