Hi-Media Completes Fotolog Acquisition

Hi-Media Group is now the official owner of Fotolog, the leading photo-blogging Web site and a top-20 online property. Hi-Media COO Erik Marie-Bion will also be the CEO of Fotolog; previous CEO and shareholder John Borthwick will launch a new social media platform, Betaworks. Fotolog co-founder, chairman and chief product officer Adam Seifer and general manager Andrew Cohen will remain.

Since the acquisition was announced in August, Fotolog has continued growth. It signed on 3 million new members, reaching 13 million users and 350 million images online.
