In this report I have searched each of the different RM and RF collections on the Creative section of www.GettyImages.com to determine the number of images in each collection. Collection sizes vary greatly from EyeEm with 4,558,201 RF images to Silkroad Images, PictureIndia, Chic Sketch and Corbis Historical, all with fewer than 200 images each.

Hi Jim -- You say you "believe" the combined gross revenue from the Creative Collection (both RF and RF) for the last four quarters was about $280 million. Every other calculation in your article is based on that number, but where does that number come from? If a reader can't verify, or at least know the reliability of the source of a key number, how can he or she trust the rest of the conclusions?

It was reported that Getty’s total income for the 12 months ending September 2017 was $836.8 million. In the past Getty has said that about $500 million was the combined total for the Creative Collection and the Microstock Collection. About $75 million is for Footage and the Editorial Collection grosses between $225 and $250 million. The Microstock Collection which includes iStock and Thinkstock generates about $220 million. Thus, roughly $280 million is for the Creative Collection.

It is my understanding the bond investors can get access to these breakdowns, but they are not reported to anyone else as far as I know. Assuming the $836.8 is accurate then $280 seems to be a reasonable ballpark.
