In the Jan. 30
story on Roger-Viollet, it was incorrectly described as government-owned. The agency's parent entity, Parisienne de Photographie group, is a public-private partnership with several shareholders: the City of Paris owns 67%, and the remaining shares are owned by the Italian stock agency Alinari24ore, France Telecom and three financial institutions: Credit Municipal, Caisse d'epargne d' Ile de France and Caisse de depots et Consignations.
In addition, Roger-Viollet does not have its own production. It represents the work of several independent photojournalists who covered late-20th-century political and cultural events.
