Visual Connections returns to Chicago on Thursday, May 5th to stage another networking and education event for art buyers and researchers who need images and footage. The venue will be the conveniently located Ivy Room at Tree Studios.
Following its involvement in the New York expo in October, Workbook will again be Principal Sponsor for the Chicago Expo. As the leading resource for finding commercial photographers and illustrators, Workbook will bring artist reps, production companies and their clients to the table, alongside suppliers and buyers of stock visual media.
“Workbook is proud to sponsor Visual Connections in the hope that we can further cultivate the relationships that result in stunning visual campaigns,” says Bill Daniels, Owner of Workbook.
Creative directors, designers, editors, publishers and producers will be seeking creative inspiration and new sources of visual media. The popular sessions program, where attendees get to question industry experts, including a copyright attorney, provides an additional justification for being out of the office. The network opportunity is unrivaled.
“Visual Connections brings picture professionals together better than any other regular event I know of,” says Doug Brooks, Image Research Team.
Attending our last event (in 2014) were many of the major advertising and publishing companies based in Chicago, including: BBDO, DDB, Encyclopaedia Britannica, Feldman & Associates, Hallmark Cards, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Leo Burnett, Lipman Hearne, McGraw-Hill, National Geographic Learning, Ogilvy & Mather, Pearson, and many more.
To add a little spice to the day, there will be a Mexican Cinco de Mayo theme to the catering at the event and post-event party in the courtyard.
