After 56 years in the stock photography business, Photo Researchers Inc. has re-branded itself as Science Source®, a name which they feel "better reflects our primary focus on science, medicine, natural history, space and technology."
The agency, with nearly 500,000 images online, remains under the same ownership and management, but their web site is now at
www.sciencesource.com with a fresh new design and additional features.
"With the majority of our sales coming from science and medical images,"co-owner and creative director Bug Sutton remarked, "it made sense to have our name reflect the unique scientific aspects of our collection." Science Source includes over 250,000 images from an outstanding roster of photographers and illustrators as well as content from Science Photo Library, Biosphoto, Phanie, BSIP, 3D4Medical, Photoshot, and other international partners. In addition, their staff of digital artists can quickly produce custom photography, 2 & 3D illustration and modeling to meet client specifications. “We are also growing our video and animation collections to offer buyers a full spectrum of science and medical content,” adds Sutton.
