Jupiterimages Accused of Secretly Pocketing Revenues

According to a recent article in seemingly defunct European image magazine Visuell (as republished by About the Image), Jupiterimages has been taking a cut of image revenues off the top—before splitting it with image owners, as mandated by contracts between the company and its suppliers. Reportedly, Jupiterimages has been keeping 20% of the licensing price as an "administrative fee" for image research. The customers are not charged more, but image owners are paid less, as only 80% of total revenue is divided according to the contractually established ratio.
