Image Source founder Christina Vaughan has been shortlisted for the Entrepreneur of the Year Award. The honor is part of the Asian Women of Achievement awards, which identify Asian women making a significant contribution to British life.
Vaughan founded Image Source in 1999. Today, the stock-image brand is distributed in 80 countries. Its founder is also an active member of the industry: in 2003, she was the first non-American to be voted onto the board of the Picture Agency Council of America, where she is currently serving as vice president.
In addition to Vaughan, this year’s shortlist includes several prominent women: head of BBC Online Seetha Kumar, attorney Yasmin Qureshi (who is also set to become the first female Muslim member of Parliament) and choreographer Carolyn Choa. Winners will be announced on May 20.
