Veteran stock shooter Greg Ceo estimates that big-agency licensing and sales are down by 75% to 80% from five years ago. “Every photographer I know who did highly produced stock shoots and spent between $50 and $300 creating each picture, has stopped shooting stock, or at least stopped producing expensive shoots,” writes Ceo on his blog, where he goes on to describe what those photographers are now doing for a living—instead of shooting stock.
