Thriving Archives, founded by former director of ABC News’ stock-footage arm VideoSource David Seevers, has released a market research study that focuses on the attitudes and perceptions of U.S. footage buyers. The study is based on a survey of 244 participants, who ranked the relative importance of six seller attributes: quality/selection, pricing, availability of online tools, customer service and the availability of broadcast-quality and high-definition footage. The survey also examined the performance of leading footage companies in the news, stock, archival and sports categories.
