Thought Equity Motion has partnered with the National Collegiate Athletic Association to offer online publishers NCAA March Madness video programming, complete with Universal Music’s classic Motown sound. The “2009 Road to the Final Four” package is designed for online newspapers, sports Web sites and other digital networks.
Universal Music Enterprises is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Motown Records. Detroit, where this year’s NCAA Men’s Final Four takes place, is the city best known as the home of Motown.
The Thought Equity package includes 15 original two-minute programs that spotlight competing teams, legendary moments and basketball personalities, such as Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. The series goes live two weeks before the start of the tournament and offers publishers the opportunity to feature pre-roll advertising.
According to Though Equity, the offering meets the overwhelming demand for professional video programming among online publishers. A recent Permission TV study found that 67% of senior marketing executives see video as the primary focus of online marketing campaigns for this year.
Thought Equity Motion is the exclusive NCAA licensing agent. The Associated Press recently snagged an exclusive arrangement for NCAA stills.
