SuperStock has launched
Purestock, a subscription service that currently has about 3 million images, vectors and video clips. All the material on Purestock has been sourced from an entirely different set of contributors than those who supply Superstock and none of the Superstock images can be found on Purestock.
According to Superstock CEO Alan Bailey, “SuperStock has had a built-in subscription plan in the past. It wasn’t very robust so we decided that the best approach was to start from scratch. We separated the two models of traditional stock (RM and traditional RF) via SuperStock and subscription via Purestock and put them on different platforms.”
Purestock offers
pricing plans that allow 250 downloads per week for a monthly fee of $199. These effectively offers customers more downloads a month than Shutterstock, Adobe or iStock, but in all likelihood very few customers take advantage of the maximum downloads offered.
They also offer a yearly plan for $1925 that allows the customer to download up to 35 HD videos per year and 250 images per week. That could be as little as $55 per video and no costs for any still images, vectors or fonts used.
"We're fortunate to serve a great community through our SuperStock accounts, but we noticed a gap in our offerings," Bailey said. "Purestock was created to fill that gap and give our clients every possibility to find what they need at a pricing plan that works for them."
To make things quick and easy for customers, every file comes with a lifetime royalty free license for multiple uses. With these new offerings, SuperStock is pushing forward with a commitment to offer great stock art at affordable prices.
