U.K.-based Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management selected Sudipto Das from among 600 entries in this year's environmental photography competition. The winning work is a candid that exemplifies how poverty affects access to habitable environments. Sir John Harman, Chairman of the Environment Agency, presented Das with the award and a £500 prize at a London-based reception. The competition was juried by Gary Braasch, winner of the Ansel Adams Award for Conservation Photography, Anthony Epes and Ronnie Israel.
