The CASE Act which will establish a Small Claims system that targets copyright abuse is
working its way through Congress. The bill has finally been passed in the House and is awaiting action in the Senate.
For more than a decade photographers have been advocating for changes in the copyright law that would make it easier to recover damages when someone makes an unauthorized usage of their copyrighted images. Finally, this bill has a reasonable chance of becoming law before the end of the current Congress in 2020.
