Next week a two-day Creative Marketplace event will take place in New York at the Midtown Loft, 267 Fifth Avenue (29th St & 5th Av.) from 9:30 to 5:30 each day. This event is designed to give image and footage buyers an opportunity to meet with creators and organizations that license creative content. There will be free seminars aimed particularly at the buyer, but which will also offer useful information for the creators.
Entry to the event, the seminars and a buffet are all FREE.
Tuesday, June 25 will be for those interested in still image content including image buyers and creatives from magazines, books, design, advertising, corporate, new media and visual content controllers. For details about this event and registration check out

Wednesday, June 26 will be focused entirely on footage and is aimed at archive footage researchers, buyers and producers from film, documentary, television, advertising, corporate, new media and visual content controllers. For details about this event and registration check out

While the events are aimed primarily at giving image and footage buyers an opportunity to meet with agencies licensing such work, they are also a great opportunity for individual creators to make contact with agencies and buyers in order to get a better understanding of what each is looking for.
