Perfect 10, a California-based publisher of supermodel images, has filed an image copyright infringement action against Microsoft after attempts at settlement failed. Prefect 10 contends that Microsoft's MSN search engine is showing celebrity images, including those owned by Perfect 19, without authorization. Former Stanford professor and company president Norm Zada accuses Microsoft of displaying billions of copyrighted imagery to promote its own business. Perfect 10 is currently in litigation against Google and Amazon on similar issues.
