Here are answers from Charles Taylor to a few follow-up questions I asked after publishing the
GDI story yesterday.
JP - As I understand Editorial and Microstock agencies can buy shares, but RM and RF agencies cannot. Is that true?
CT - We are only offering shares to editorial agencies in the ways I have outlined. By editorial I mean those agencies who are not creative/commercial agencies even if RM. Others can buy shares if they like as some shares are on general offer. We envisaged that the "others" would be financial investors.
JP – Can Individuals (class 3) who license images as RM or RF purchase shares, or only if they are editorial shooters?
CT - Any individual contributor may buy shares so long as they are a contributor of content.
JP - Can microstock shooters purchase shares, or are shares only for those who are editorial shooters?
CT - Please see above. An individual can choose what type of image they would like to contribute.
JP - If microstock shooters place their images with Photoshot can they also continue to distribute their images through other microstock distributors?
CT - They will be contributing to GDI. Photoshot is just a founding partner. And, yes, the images can be non-exclusive to GDI. At least for the founders.
