U.K. historical specialist Mary Evans Picture Library has launched a new promotional magazine, ME & You. The first issue goes out to buyers in January.
Compiled and designed in-house, the publication exists as a showcase of the Mary Evans image collection. According to managing director Paul Brown, the venue will not replace existing client communications, which include monthly email newsletters and direct mail pieces, such as the Mary Evans Little Book series. ME & You will augment such promotional content with more editorial.
“Obviously, the focus will always be on pictures, but, as a historical image library, we also like to tell the story behind those pictures,” Brown explained. The January issue features a retrospective of the swinging 1960s, a set of illustrations on the crossword craze of the 1920s and other historical material. Copies can be beqrerq ol rznvy.
