During the month of April, Edenbridge-based TopFoto Gallery is exhibiting Harriet Logan’s body of work from Afghanistan. Logan first went to Afghanistan in 1997 under the commission of the Sunday Times, photographing local women. The assignment carried great personal risk for a Western woman photographers in a country where the ruling government had forbidden photography and greatly restricted the rights and abilities of women. Logan had also returned to Afghanistan in 2001.
