Available as a free upgrade for existing users, KIM Keywording 1.5 offers several workflow improvements, including the ability to prioritize keywords.
The software allows 100 to 200 keywords to be added to an image within minutes. The new prioritizing function helps reduce the overall number of keywords applied to images. Other enhancements include a simplified translation interface that supports 10 languages, additional image-database search options, improved import and export functions and the ability to adjust relative hierarchy of keywords and keyword strings.
KIM Keywording is a product of Swiss agency Kursiv, which last March celebrated 15 years in business. Founded in 1994 as a design-software company, Kursiv expanded into royalty-free CD distribution three years later. Today, the agency offers over 11 million editorial and commercial images, and continues to market software for designers and photographers, as well as providing image-database consulting services.
The keywording software retails at the starting price of 125 Euro, with more expensive multilingual and multi-user options. Free 30-day trial is available.
