Following a Denmark launch a year ago, Swedish image bank Johnér Images has continued its aggressive expansion campaign with adding direct sales in the countries of Finland and Norway. The Nordic feel of the Johnér collection—the light, color, tone and choice of motif of its imagery—has enjoyed both local and global demand, according to the company.
Founded in 1998, Johnér Images has since acquired several regional competitors. In addition to Stockholm headquarters, the company operates subsidiaries in Denmark, Finland and Norway. It employs 25 people and reports 2008 revenues of $4.4 million (36 million Swedish Krona).
