New Hampshire-based iSyndica, an automation service that allows photo and video producers to batch-upload content to multiple stock-selling and photo-sharing Web sites, has launched two service enhancements: a separate iSyndica Illustrations platform and access to all of iSyndica from six popular social sites.
At launch, iSyndica Illustration supports eight vector-stock retailers, including Fotolia, Veer and Zymmetrical. Artists using the service upload once and choose how to distribute the batch, saving uploading, tagging and submitting time. Users also have the option of adding their own Web sites to the service.
A new third-party login feature was launched to simplify the iSyndica registration process for users of six popular online platforms. When those with existing AOL, Facebook, Flickr, Google, Twitter or Yahoo! accounts register at iSyndica, they only need to specify a username. According to iSyndica chief technologist Seb Coursol, open security standards will form the basis of the next generation of Web applications. “More pragmatically, one less account and password to manage is always a pleasant thing for our users,” Coursol added.
iSyndica’s software-as-service offering is cloud-based, built on Amazon Web Services. Pricing starts at $4.99 per month. iSyndica’s photo and video submission platforms currently support submissions to more than 20 still stock and 7 footage agencies; support for Flickr, Vimeo and YouTube is coming soon.
