iStock Stages 10th Anniversary iStockalypse In Dubai

iStock by Getty Images will stage the UAE's first ever iStockalypse event in Dubai from 26 thru 28 March, 2015. Specifically chosen as a fitting venue to mark the 10th anniversary of iStockalypse events, iStockalypse Dubai will bring together a select group of both local and global photographers and videographers for three-days of creative shoots and visually themed talks.

Held in partnership with Gulf Photo Plus, the event will take place at specially sourced shoot locations across the city. Local photographers and videographers are invited to attend the event, where Getty Images' creative team will provide proprietary information on current visual trends and customer content needs and create a forum in which contributors and staff can share advice on how to succeed as commercial photographers and videographers.

"We are excited to be bringing iStockalypse to Dubai for the first time, and in our important 10th anniversary year," said Paul Foster, Senior Director Creative Content for Getty Images, who will be in Dubai for the event. "The iStockalypse events are about bringing artists together and sharing the knowledge, passion and information necessary to create great commercial imagery. We aim specifically to support our contributors' ability to produce regionally relevant content. I'm excited to see what we can all create in Dubai and to share this content with iStock's customers around the world."

The iStockalypse was first held in early 2005, as an official multi-day iStock photography event. Several times a year, contributing artists and photographers from the international iStock community come together to collaborate, share knowledge, and exchange tricks of the stock photography trade. Under savvy expert guidance, beginners and seasoned professionals get to share what they know and create standout images with old and new friends. Since the first event in Las Vegas, iStockalypse has visited Berlin, Seattle, Boston, Ljubljana, Prague, Austin, Barcelona, Marseilles, Buenos Aires, Malta, Calgary, Istanbul, Cannes, Tokyo, London, Hong Kong, Sao Paulo, Paris, Milan and Copenhagen.
