The latest version of LicenseStream from California-based ImageSpan claims to deliver one-click buying of digital via a search-engine result. The company said LicenseStream 2.0 enables its users to publish content directly to global search engines.
LicenseStream users will now be able to publish entire content catalogs directly to major search engines. The catalogs can then be search-engine optimized.
Chief executive officer Iain Scholnick said this has never been done before. “The implications are clear,” he added, “This innovation will dramatically speed the pace of transactions and drive incremental revenues. In this era when crumbling old-line media and distribution channels are being replaced by aggressive, Web-based middlemen, the ability for any creator or enterprise to go directly to consumers is a huge boon.”
The company says its product’s advantage is in solving creators’ primary challenges of transaction processing and content distribution. LicenseStream Creator helps make content transaction-ready by defining ownership, rights and restrictions, as well as enabling owners to price based on use.
In addition to deeper search-engine integration, LicenseStream 2.0 features include new marketing tools, such as Webinars that explain the service and offer tips on email marketing and other online-promotion strategies. Also new are several batch-friendly content-management features, including a Flash uploader.
