Freepik Company Appoints Oliveira CMO

Freepik Company, a platform of free and exclusive graphic content, has signed Rod Oliveira to a newly created position of Chief Marketing Officer in a move to strengthen an area of great strategic relevance for the brand.

Among other responsibilities, Oliveria and his team of 25 marketing professionals will be in charge of strengthening and transforming the recognition of the Freepik, Flaticon and Slidesgo brands internationally. They plan to innovate and drive rapid growth in new markets and deliver a strong value proposition to all Freepik's Universe.

Freepik’s new CMO is an experienced leader with a proven track record in Marketing in fast-growing corporations. During his professional career, he has held a number of roles in top brands such as Spreadshirt, SEGA, Vodafone and Innogames, among others, heading up international marketing for multiplatform best-selling products across the globe.



The addition of Oliveira is part of the consolidation and expansion plan of the company, which sets international brand positioning as one of its main objectives. In Oliveira’s words: “This is the perfect time for me to join the business, as it seeks to accelerate growth, build market share and deliver more products and services to its growing customer base. The passion I have for digital products is shared by everyone in the Freepik Company team and I look forward to working with all of them to plan for the future as the business expands and grows at a fast pace.”

Founded in Málaga (south of Spain) in 2010 the Freepik Company currently has 18 million unique users, 100 million downloads and over 50 million page views each month. It has led the Financial Times “Fastest Growing European Companies” ranking and is number 1 in Spain according to Startup Ranking. Today it operates with 190 employees.
