launched in October, Fotolia’s Microsoft Word and PowerPoint plugin—or ribbon, as Microsoft now calls them—has gone global with support for 10 languages, one for every country of Fotolia operations. The company has also integrated high-definition video and subscription images, making both accessible via the free in-application ribbon.
According to Fotolia, close to 75,000 users have downloaded the software so far. It remains the only stock-agency product that offers Microsoft in-application search-and-purchase functionality. Users can browse search results, create custom galleries and save downloaded libraries. They also receive 15 free images per day.
