Canadian Fotoglif, established in 2007 as an online distribution platform for third-party imagery, has announced a new version of its Web site. As before, the images are available via an ad-supported model—which inserts advertising into the image publisher’s Web site along with an image—and licensed download.
Fotoglif bills itself as “a digital media marketplace offering small print and electronic publishers a fast, cost effective and simple way to purchase licensed images.” The site update ushers in a whole new back-end. Unfortunately, it does away with any images previously embedded using the old Fotoglif technology: these won’t work after the middle of this month.
