On Thursday, May 11, 2017 the French trade association of "online content publishers",
GESTE, has called their members to a "working meeting" to look into the impact on traffic of the new features of Google Images on the websites of GESTE's members. Google is a member of GESTE and will take part in the meeting.
Reports of both meetings will be available on
CEPIC.org.
In addition, a
letter was sent on April 27, 2017 to the Director General of the European Commission from a variety of different vertical search businesses that are negatively affected by Google’s abusive search conduct as a first step in discussions towards identifying effective, principle-based remedies.
CEPIC and Getty Images were signatories on the letter.
A full discussion and explanation of progress made in these efforts will be presented at the
CEPIC Congress on June 15, 2017 at Salon 8, 12th floor of Maritim Hotel, Berlin, Friedrichstrasse 151. The workshop will be open to the public and those interested in attending can register
here.
NOTICE: Even CEPIC Congress delegates must register due to limited seating.
