Dreamstime has introduced a Facebook application that allows members to connect their microstock-image portfolios to their accounts with the social network. According to Dreamstime, the app creates a new market for the Web site’s contributors, because it makes their photography accessible to over 20 million Facebook users.
The app allows for real-time notifications and activity-based updates to the Dreamstime user’s Facebook wall. Contributors using Dreamstime through Facebook can also invite their friends and thus improve earnings through the microstock’s referral program.
Integrating with Facebook Connect, the Dreamstime Promotional Tool launched in early August and, according to the company, already has thousands of active users that average 15 invited Facebook friends each. Dreamstime currently has 70,000 contributors, more than 6 million images and more than 1.5 million total users.
