Three-year-old Romanian microstock agency Dreamstime has been accepted as an affiliate member of the Coordination of European Picture Agencies. CEPIC unites member organizations from 18 European countries to exchange information and establish ethical guidelines for the stock-image industry.
Reviewed and approved by the CEPIC Board of Directors, Dreamstime's acceptance is an important acknowledgement for both the advocacy group and the micro-payment company. According to Sylvie Fodor, CEPIC administrator, Dreamstime represents a new business model, in much the same way the royalty-free model carved out its niche a decade ago. "Dreamstime's admission to our organization as an affiliate member validates that CEPIC's membership represents the entire spectrum of the photographic business," Fodor said.
