Corbis says that demand for healthcare imagery is on the rise amid job insecurity, policy debate and general uncertainty about the future. Stress, anxiety, depression and sleeplessness are all on the rise since 2008. Corbis stresses that images that depict the current state of health and wellness are not necessarily expected; for example, many people are seeking ways to take care of themselves without seeking medical help, because they cannot afford it. Corbis has posted a new image gallery to its Web site to reflect the trend.
