Coordination of European Picture Agencies is hosting separate new media and metadata conferences on Wednesday before its Dublin Congress begins on Thursday, June 10. Registration for the two Wednesday events is now open for those not attending the congress (both events are included in the congress registration fee).
This marks the fourth year of the metadata event, which will present results of a survey that shows how metadata is currently used and what improvements are needed. The core of the conference will be a how-to session on applying metadata at different stages of photo workflows.
Sponsored by JaincoTech, the New Media Conference will address microstock, metadata, stock video and use of social media. Yuri Arcurs will give the keynote address. Presentations will include:
- “Persistence and Protection of Metadata” – Nancy Wolff and Dr. Christian Donle
- “Making Millions with Microstock” – Lee Torrens, Andres Rodriguez, Tyler Olson, Jonathan Ross, Serban Enache
- “Using New Media to Get Business, not Just More Friends, Followers and Fans” – Beate Chelette and Marco Oonk
- “Stock Video: Where The Action Is!” – Dittmar Frohman, Tom Bennett and Andy Goetze
- “What’s Next? How will the Stock Media Business Evolve?” – Ellen Boughn, Rahul Pathak, Shannon Fagan, Taylor Davidson and Kelly Thompson
