CEPIC Dublin 2010 Opens for Registration

The next international congress of the European umbrella body CEPIC will take place in Dublin and is now open for registration.

Organizers say they expect over 1,000 attendees from 80 countries to gather in Ireland this coming summer. CEPIC is also inaugurating what it is calling the Annual Industry Party of the Year, to be held at the landmark Guinness Storehouse.

CEPIC president and Image Source chief executive officer Christina Vaughan notes that these are challenging times in the industry and the global economy but stresses that CEPIC will show leadership and highlight opportunities. “We have some very inspirational speakers and panelists lined up with a very fresh perspective on where the growth will come from as well as lots of opportunities to network and meet with industry friends and colleagues from across the world,” she said.

Dublin will be somewhat cheaper to attend then previous CEPIC get-togethers—at least in the cost of hotel accommodations. Organizers are also advocating room-sharing and offering early-bird discounts in an effort to attract cash-strapped participants. Early-bird deadline is Feb. 14.

The conference agenda focuses on innovation, opportunity and entrepreneurship in the new digital economy. CEPIC has planned a cultural itinerary that spans beyond the typical industry fare to include events such as a Night at the Horse Races and a tour of Jameson Distillery.
