It’s about a month before the
2018 CEPIC Congress, the premier annual meeting of commercial still and moving image suppliers, will take place from 30 May to 1 June at the Maritim proArte hotel in Berlin. Currently 250 delegates from 150 companies and 29 countries are scheduled to attend.
The
three-day conference program covers up-to-date industry issues. Wednesday 30 May has been designated
Innovation Day and it will will showcase innovative businesses in the visual sector. Confirmed speakers and exhibitors will include Capture, Copytrack, ImageRights, IMATAG, IPStock, Mainstream Data, PantherMedia, Picturemaxx and SmartFrame. One of the principal issues to be discussed on Innovation Day will be “Can Blockchain be applied to the Photo Industry?” Speakers on this panel will include: Jan Denecke (KodackOne), Alexander Karst (Die Bildbeschaffer), Fredi Lienhardt (Photochain), Joe Naylor (ImageRights) and Marcus Schmitt (Copytrack). This event is open to photographers.

On Thursday 31 May, the CEPIC Congress will host for the 11th time the
IPTC Metadata Conference. The IPTC Conference and the Innovation Day are part of the full Congress Pass or may be booked separately as one-day Events. Friday 1 June, will be devoted to Cultural Heritage: “Does the Past Have a Future?”
Photographers around the world are invited to submitt their images for the 4th edition of the
Stock Photography Awards. Winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on Thursday 31 May during the Annual Industry Party.
