Following the recent election of Image Source founder Christina Vaughan as its new president, the Coordination of European Picture Agencies has announced a seven-member executive committee that will head its work for the next two years.
Vaughan succeeds Alan Smith, who has served as president for 12 years. Klaus Plaumann and Dominique Delouis join Vaughan as vice president and treasurer, respectively. Plaumann is the marketing director of Germany-based Picture Press and board member of local industry association BVPA. Delouis owns France’s Museum Images and serves as secretary of SNAPIG.
Paul Brown, managing director of U.K.-based Mary Evans Picture Library and chairman of BAPLA, and Barbro Kaufmann, owner of Sweden’s Pix Offer and president of SBF, remain CEPIC executive committee members. Newly elected members include Lola Mate of Spain’s QuickImages Stock and Els van Rest of the Netherlands’ NL Images.
This year’s CEPIC congress was attended by over 600 industry professionals from 39 countries.
