The British Association of Picture Libraries and Agencies has announced that it plans to include extra stands to accommodate unexpected demand. “Picture Buyers’ Fair 2010 is defying the impact of the recession and is selling out,” said BAPLA in a statement.
Last October, BAPLA announced extensive changes to the PBF format. Today, the organization released an updated floor plan that includes an additional 15 shell scheme stands.
PBF 2010 is scheduled for May 19 and 20. In addition to a new venue—two floors of London’s Barbican Exhibition Halls—PBF 2010 will feature the Digital Gallery, the BAPLA Village and the Networking Cafe Bar. According to BAPLA, the Digital Gallery in particular has been receiving a lot of interest.
BAPLA executive director Simon Cliffe said that many exhibitors are returning to PBF this year after taking a break. Currently, the show guide includes Getty Images, Image Source and Bridgeman. Additional information on confirmed speakers, seminars and visitor registration facilities is forthcoming shortly.
