The American Society of Media has launched a redesigned Web site with expanded resources available to all photographers and members of the photographic community—not just ASMP members.
The Business Resources section offers a host of information that can be of great value to anyone engaged in the business of photography. Among the tutorials and forms available are a Licensing Guide, Copyright Tutorial, Business Form Tutorial, Terms and Conditions Tutorial and Bad Contract Tutorial. Also available free of charge are a series of videos from the ASMP Strictly Business conference series, covering topics such as pricing, negotiating, copyright and marketing, as well as interviews with major photographers sharing their knowledge and experience.
In addition, there is information about Pricing Guides and Business Management Software, as well as answers to frequently asked questions on Business, Legal and Trademark issues.
ASMP is the premier U.S. trade association for photographers who create images primarily for publication. The association is a leader in providing professional photographers with business education and protecting their rights.
According to executive director Eugene Mopsik, “We are pleased that the new Web site reflects the professionalism of our association and enables not just our members, but all interested photographers, to take advantage of many of the resources we offer. In this rapidly changing global environment, it is vital for photographers to stay informed about issues key to their profession. The new website provides important information as well as a sense of connection for the photographic community.”
