Alamy is seeking an industry heavyweight to develop a worldwide news division.
The company wants to hire a senior manager with news media experience to develop a global news, sports and entertainment division. The manager will report directly to Alamy chief executive officer James West and will be creating visual news products for the company’s existing customer base, as well as for new markets and platforms.
The manager’s responsibilities will include defining the product plan, implementing change, establishing processes and continuously assessing the products being delivered against that of the competition. The manager will be working with customers, photographers and videographers.
Alamy acknowledges that the person hired “will be taking often complex and conflicting directions from customers and contributors and distilling them down into products that will become essential everyday tools for end-users.”
Interested parties should email a CV with a covering letter and details of current salary package to Cheryl Thornton at jobs@alamy.com by this Friday, October 29.
